Meet The Team

Dr. Robinson

Dr. Robinson grew up on an island just upstream from Niagara Falls. He attended Cornell University, receiving a BS in Animal Sciences. He moved to Colorado in 1979 where he met his future wife Randi while they both worked at the Denver Dumb Friends League. He attended Colorado State University where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1992. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in 2003. Dr. Robinson and Randi have three children. They share their lives with dogs Scout and Bonnie, Catdog (the cat who thinks she’s a dog), a flock of chickens, Pruit the peacock and his family, and five dwarf goats. Dr. Robinson enjoys cycling, hiking, camping in his spare time.


Mellissa grew up in Colorado. She graduated from the veterinary technology program at FRCC in May 2007, from which she started working with her longtime mentor, Dr. Robinson. She is a Certified Veterinary Technician in Colorado and Nevada. Mellissa is devoted to caring for the little critters that can’t speak for themselves and strives to provide a gold standard of pet care. She prides herself in her bubbly personality and ability to comfort those in times of sadness or distress. She enjoys building relationships with all her patients and their pet parents. Mellissa is always willing to go the extra mile for all her family and friends, including those she makes at FAFVC. At home, she loves spending time with the love of her life, her fiancé Will and their 4 legged “kids”. Together they share 4 dogs, 3 cats, and a leopard gecko. Mellissa’s idea of a good night includes snuggling up with a good book and loading up on furball love.  


Saul is a Colorado native who attended Front Range Community College in Fort Collins. Saul has a love for the outdoors as well as animals of all kinds. He has a special place in his heart for exotic pets such as reptiles, and rodents. Saul currently lives with his sweet cat Opal and an Ackie Monitor name JoAnna. In his spare time, you will find him working on various creative projects, reading and exploring beautiful Colorado.


Mark has always cared deeply for animals; not just pets, but wild animals as well. He was born in Grand Junction, CO, but has lived in Fort Collins most of his life. He has always wanted to work with animals but hopes to one day do conservation work abroad with big cats. Mark has a very sassy Siamese cat named Leesi who fancies herself queen of the universe. He is also the proud parent of a pink-toe tarantula named Jade. In his spare time, Mark enjoys being outside hiking, camping, backpacking, swimming and adventuring into the unknown! He loves music, art, books, film, travelling and learning about foreign cultures and languages.
