Dr. Howard Robinson Fort Collis

Dr. Robinson grew up on an island just upstream from Niagara Falls. He attended Cornell University, receiving a BS in Animal Sciences. He moved to Colorado in 1979 where he met his future wife Randi while they both worked at the Denver Dumb Friends League. He attended Colorado State University where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1992. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in 2003. Dr. Robinson and Randi have three children. They share their lives with dogs Scout and Bonnie, Catdog (the cat who thinks she’s a dog), a flock of chickens, Pruit the peacock and his family, and five dwarf goats. Dr. Robinson enjoys cycling, hiking, camping in his spare time.

Dr. Joya 

Dr. Howard Robinson

Dr. Joya was born and raised in Colorado Springs. She completed her undergraduate as well as her DVM programs at CSU. She started out practicing after graduation in 2017 in southern Wyoming working in a mixed animal practice on cows, horses, dogs, and cats. She moved back to Colorado to be closer to her family and has been focusing on small animal medicine since then. Her main veterinary interests include pain management, palliative care, and diagnostic imaging. 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time enjoying the outdoors with her menagerie of animals including her dogs (Homer, Gordita, and Chalupa), cats (Sawyer and Sir Winston Pancakes), cow (Nemo), horse (Nugget), and chinchillas (Stitch and Avalanche). She can also be found doing puzzles, and playing board and card games with her family and friends.

Dr. Staples

Dr. Sharon Staples has a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Colorado State University and is certified in veterinary medical acupuncture. Dr Staples retired from the Army Veterinary Corps  in 2012, in which she served for 29 years. She owned Animal Haven Veterinary Clinic from 1991 to 2004, then sold her practice after getting deployed as a veterinarian in support of Operation Iraqi freedom.  Dr Staples enjoys working on all pets, but is passionate about cat care, nutrition and behavior.

Dr Staples enjoys spending time outdoors in Colorado.  She is an avid mountain and road cyclist. She also enjoys all types of skiing.  One of her new hobbies is fly fishing.

Mark

Dr. Howard Robinson Fort Collis

Mark has always cared deeply for animals. He was born in Grand Junction, CO, but has lived in Fort Collins most of his life. He has always loved being around and working with all types of animals. Mark has a very sassy Siamese cat named Leesi who fancies herself queen of the universe and has three other cats too! He is also the proud parent of a Caique parrot named Nemo. In his spare time, Mark enjoys being outside hiking, camping, backpacking, swimming and adventuring into the unknown! He loves music, art, books, film, travelling and learning about foreign cultures and languages.

Rose

Dr. Howard Robinson Fort Collin, CO

Rose graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Equine Science and a minor in Business Administration. Rose has always had a passion for working with and taking care of animals. She is the proud mother of Wombie, a calm Yellow Lab who loves people, swimming, food of any kind, and giving kisses. Rose spends most of her free time at the barn where her horse lives cleaning, feeding, and taking care of horses. Rose also loves watching movies of all genres and keeps an extensive DVD collection. Rose hopes to see you and your beloved furry friend at the clinic!

Brittany

Dr. Howard Robinson Fort Collis

Brittany graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelors of Science in Zoology and minors in Environmental Sciences and Oceanography. She has always had a passion for animals which led her to volunteer at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in High School, working with wallabies, reptiles, birds and other mammals, as well as travel to Borneo while at OSU to work with the Wildlife Rescue Unit and their orphaned elephants. Since moving back to Colorado, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being in the mountains, and giving love to her kitty Spaz and German Shepard Clyde. Brittany looks forward to seeing your fur babies at the clinic and giving them lots of love!

Ally

Dr. Howard Robinson

Ally was born and raised in Virginia and is currently a senior at Colorado State University. She is majoring in Zoology and minoring in Biomedical Science. Ally is currently applying to vet school and plans one day to become a veterinarian. In her free time Ally enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, kayaking, or hammocking. Ally looks forward to continuing her education and getting to work with your furry friends!
